BoyWithUke, who's real name is Charley, is a Korean-American singer, musician, and internet personality. He started making music in 2020, when his brother encouraged him to make a TikTok account.
His 4 first TikToks were just drawn videos, with his music. He first appeared in the 5th TikTok, where you could see him playing a song on his ukulele, with the camera aimed just under his head. The next video with him, was the same. But the next 2 videos is where his first mask came in. A pillow case.
For a few videos, he wore a a white mask with a black mask. He also wore T-shirts as mask.
And for 3 years, he made videos and went live where you could only see his chin.
He also wore a black and white checkers mask for a while.
But then, his actual first mask appeared. The silver mask. He got it of Amazon. He used it for almost every video from then on.
Until...
He uploaded a video. Named "boy with no face"
That's the video where he got his most popular mask. The customizable mask from Amazon with the famous two circles.
He wore it for about a year.
Then came the newest mask. The same as the previous one, but custom made. It costs around $1350 and first appeared in the TikTok video to tease "Contigo".
BUT
Everyone was excited for Lucid Dreams, but no one expected what was gonna happen in the music video for "Homesick". Suddenly at the end, he appeared without a mask. From that moment on, he always makes videos without a mask on. (he did face reveal before but that got deleted and the fans were nice enough not to leak it until the actual face reveal.)
